The best part of InsightPact for me.

The best part of InsightPact for me would be the team, our people. I think any organization can have a great mission and values but what makes InsightPact great is that we have a team that truly embodies our mission, values and are committed to working with our partners to make a positive impact.

I would describe InsightPact as a people-centered, multicultural, fully-distributed agency that facilitates collective action for social impact.

A bit about me.

I am originally from Tsumeb, a small mining town in northern Namibia, but I’ve called Bangkok home for the past 7+ years, where I have worked in various industries managing business development and relationship management efforts to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

I am passionate about business and spend most of my free time working on projects to enable and inspire entrepreneurship or practicing Muay Thai.

Where am I from?

Tsumeb, Namibia

Why InsightPact?

I found out about InsightPact from a friend who used to work here, and I joined because the organization's values and mission align with mine.

The book and movie that changed the way I think.

The Pursuit of Happyness (Movie) - directed by Gabriele Muccino and starring Will Smith.

To me, this is one of the best movies ever! It’s a story about the personal struggle of a man who evolved from being a homeless father to a successful businessman who founded his own brokerage firm.

This movie came out at the peak of my teenage years and taught me a lot about the realities of life, the pursuit of happiness, and success. It taught me that it isn’t simply enough to have a dream, but in order to achieve that dream, you also need the courage and resolve to pursue it!

It also taught me to never stop pursuing the things that make me happy!

How I practice well-being & wellness in my day-to-day life.

I practice wellbeing and wellness by working out as often as I can, which would typically involve a run, functional or weight training in the morning and Muay Thai in the evening. I also try to maintain a balanced diet, set healthy boundaries, get proper sleep and meditate to take care of my mental wellbeing.

My morning routine.

My days start extremely early by most people’s standards. I’ve had a daily 5 am alarm on my phone for as long as I can remember. I start my mornings by going to the gym or going for a run around the track at Benjakitti Park, after which I would usually take a cold shower and get straight to work.

I also started meditating at the beginning of this year, thanks to some encouragement from my colleagues here at InsightPact. I found it quite difficult at first because I had never really intently sat in silence with my thoughts before, but the more I did, the more therapeutic it felt. Meditation has taught me how to stay centered, keep my inner peace, stay balanced, and gives me a sense of calm that has benefited both my emotional well-being and overall health.

I believe everyone should meditate, even if it’s just for 5 minutes a day!

My playlist right now.

I'll confess I am not really much of a reader, and I don't watch too many movies, but I love music! I listen to all kinds of music, but my favorite is 90's RnB, Afrobeats, and South African House Music.

My top 10 songs right now are:

  1. Closer - Kelvin Momo
  2. Tyler ICU - Intliziyo
  3. When I see you - Fantasia
  4. Feel For You - Joe Thomas
  5. Best of Me - Anthony Hamilton
  6. Catch A Body - Chris Brown
  7. Bandana - Fireboy DML
  8. Ku Lo Sa - Oxlade
  9. I'm a Mess - Omah Lay
  10. For My Hand - Burna Boy

Being a 90's kid, I strongly believe the '90s had an amazing soundtrack, so I am still very drawn to music from this era, particularly RnB
